GMS Infrared Cloud Imagery

These images are provided free of charge, and show cloud cover over the New Zealand region during the last 24 hours. They are low-resolution infrared images from the Japan Meteorological Agency geostationary meteorological satellite (GMS) located 36,000 km above the equator at 140°E, north of Australia.

The images are updated each time the satellite makes a new observation. The links below indicate the times (NZST, 24-hour format) for which images are available. Use your browser’s Refresh (or Reload) button to make sure the list is up-to-date.

Sorry, there are no images of this type available within the last 24 hours.
